The Art Legacy League held an Art Party Open House on Friday, December 27th in the J.B. Young Opportunity Center. The free event was open to the public and featured an exhibit of Father Edward Catich original artwork as well as giclée prints of his work for sale. Artist Amy Nielsen conducted a participative class in calligraphy which was filled to capacity. A beginning drawing session was offered and attendees were encouraged to make rubbings of slates by Paul Herrera. Refreshments were available and Art Legacy League board members were on hand to answer questions.
The Art Legacy League is a nonprofit education organization dedicated to preserving the traditional methods of Father Catich and his contemporaries.
